Out-of-the-box-yesterday new! 24" 2.4 GHz. Bluetooth stuffs. Our ancient studio computer finally went into retirement, being no longer remotely compatible with our clients' software, and so the home office computer had to move outside to take its place. We decided to bite the bullet this time and get more of what we wanted. It's now displaced Gram's old monster-truck-sized tv that was eating up half of the little room it was in (the "cry room"). We may still be in the 19th Century on all other technological points, but at least we've got a good 'puter.
Can you say EXCITED? Ask me how late I was up last night. No, don't.
I've just realized I've been missing out on Georgia posts. Feedblitz is going directly to my spam box so I've gotta fix that. Love to hear from you via these posts.
C-DUB. Come over sometime, I'll introduce you to my new 'puter.
PHOEBE. It's not too late to petition Santa.
KATRINA. You definitely need Mac therapy before you hurt somebody.
LOIS. Well, we do hand-me-overs and refurbished and thrifted too, but luckily this is one area of life where once every few years we have totally update, for the sake of business and sanity. It's fun when we're on this side of the pendulum swing.
The surprise is definitely protracted, and may indeed involve Gorgonzola. You're a good guesser.
PEEF. I may not be able to tell all till February, but we'll see. But be advised, this does not have anything to do with the next generation of our household. Unfortunately.
We've been Mac-heads since the beginning of time, I think.
BECCA. I've switched almost exclusively to Google Reader, and I'm really happy with it. Maybe you should check it out. The only thing I use Feedblitz for now is keeping up to date with the few blogs I subscribe to which are private.
I'd LOVE to get a goat. In fact, last week I had a dream about a goat walking into my house. It a big white nanny goat though, not the kind I want. I like the crazy, wild-eyed little butthead sort. I even love miniature goats. I usually can't stomach any dwarfed variety of any animal, but teeny goats are adorable.
If we get a goat, I promise you can babysit, Gritty.

Apple rules the world!
(I wish.)
I keep hearing iMac is better. Good for you!
Is the thing you can't tell, a surprise? (You don't have to answer that.) Surprises are so fun!
The sound and smell and feel of rain....AAaaahhh.
It was a total surprise. And in time, I will be able to tell. (snick, whoop, whee)
Soooo happy for you!
I am intrigued. I love surprises! And I love iMacs. Why don't I have one?
I'm totally jealous of the mac! I'm beginning to hate pc's--death with vista!
I get whatever computer my siblings deem "old and outdated" -- much like my cars.
Can't wait to hear what your news is. I hope it involves Gorgonzola cheese and protractors.
Love the rain!
how soon till you can tell us the good news????
you know, once you go Mac you'll never go back!!
