Anniversaries

It's not a date I keep consciously in my head, but some little bird must keep singing it annually into my ear, because October 24th has not slipped by me unnoticed for quite a long time. I'm grateful to you, celestial sparrow. Remembering helps me focus my gratitude energy today.

Also, here's a shout-out to AzĂșcar, who celebrates a wedding anniversary today as well. May your next year with Other Half be filled with connubial bliss and culinary agreement. Cheers!

joh: It's the hormones talking, maybe. You're allowed. Love you t(w)o(o).

azĂșcar: 10! Ten! Really? Now, that's a wow milestone! Double digits! It'll take you 90 years to hit the next one. You can do it! Congrats!

Happy (belated) Anniversary Kyle and Peggy! You too, Azucar!

Beautiful post about your parents. I loved the honesty, and your hope and faith.

(I have a little bird story I think you would like related to my father's passing I've been meaning to write up for my mom for some time now--thanks for the reminder.)

October is my mom's birthday, and I never seem to forget that.

Or my parents' anniversary, either, come to think of it. Tho' Dad has other anniversaries to think of now.

I wish I could have known your parents, Geo.

That picture of little-girl you is SO you, and so beautiful...
