In case you haven't yet noticed the recent changes on Bright Street, let me point out a few home improvements I've made. I've moved the furniture around a bit and added a little paint. I've also installed something you probably thought you'd never see here—the long-awaited, much-debated, ultra-modern, somewhat controversial, who's-who and so-and-so element that every socially-connective blogger feels is a must-have: a blogroll. And even better, it's a blogroll in two parts. I don't know what finally inspired me, after all this time in my no-linky state. It must have been the paint fumes talking.
Most of you already know most of you, but maybe there's somebody new on the list you'll meet and enjoy.
Thanks for being people I wish were in my IRL neighborhood. This list will undoubtedly grow, so keep your eyes peeled for updates. And if you're linked and don't want to be, please let me know.

I feel honored to be the first to say congrats and welcome to 2007! You will find that links are really for making sure that you yourself check in on all your hens in the cyber-coop. (... and joe.)
Next you need sitemeter.com to track your visitors. Well, on second thought, don't go there. It adds a good half hour to your casual computer time.
I love what you've done with the place.
andi says we are similar hearted people. i like that. and yeah for blogrolls that allow us to connect and snoop with a lot of cool cats.
There is nothing like quite like fresh paint!
andi: I have a secret weapon for all that link-checking: FEEDBLITZ. Seriously, subscribing to my favorite blogs has streamlined my life. You should try it.
Oh-ho-ho, I know all about sitemeter. I used to use it a few years ago when I had a different web journal. It nearly sucked my brain dry. I can really get lost in something like that.
rynell: Blogger is my designer.
zlb: I like that too. Glad to find you!
c-dub: You oughta know, eh, Ms. Home Makeover? Are your fumes doing much for your strep?
I'm just glad to see me over there on that side ;o)
Me luvs you.
lucky: Are you kidding? Your name should be in bold flashing neon!
P.S. Love you too!
Looks great. Speaking of links, if you look at your friend Andi's links, you'll find one for Marsha. Yes indeedy, she's THE Marsha.
p.s. How's the Kershisnik book going?
I dig the new digs, Geo. And lovely to see as I emerge from hibernation...
nigel: It's a little like Christmas, rediscovering people in the blogosphere. I shoud have known—there's only ONE Marsha. The book is evolving nicely—right now we're taking a wee breather while Brian gets though prepping for a Thanksgiving show. If I link you, will you blog something?
billy: You'll not be able to tell now that it's alphabetized, but you were my first pick for the non-fam part of the blogroll—sort of like a team captain, mebbe? How do you feel about kickball? I'm glad you're emerging. I've missed you. What's the seasonal equivalent of nocturnal?
Glad to be a neighbor in your neighborhood, in your neighborhood, in your neigh-bor-hood!
And since, I'm over here singing:
You've got the look, you've got the look. Sho 'nuf to be cookin', in my book.
Oh, and thanks for specifying which one was you in the photo. I had been wondering...(smiles)
Definitely liking the rearranging you've done. Thanks for including me in your neighborhood, even not knowing you irl!
I've been blogging on Myspace for a while. There's stuff about art, music, politics, and our (mine & Lois') monkey-children. Go to:
www.myspace.com/sleepwalkerfineart
But wait, there's more! Any day now, I'm a-gonna be launching a blog about fast food. I'll let you know when it's up.
Thanks, Geo. I like being linked to you in any way possible.
am'n: Plucks, on left. Shaves, on right. That's another way to keep us straight.
I know that song! You are the first to ever to apply it to me. Thanks!
wendy: Don't even get me started about the whole "What is real?" thing. I'm just glad I know cool people, both in cyber space and in person.
nigel: You're linked. I snooped around yesterday and found your almost-a-blog. Can't wait for it. I'm not quite up-to-date enough to regularly haunt myspace, but I'll visit there because you said so.
Your blog looks great!
I know I'll enjoy meeting a few new neighbors.
On Bright Street is appropriately cheery. I love cruising through. also, you're an amazing writer. yep, that's what i think about you.
i'm glad we're officially blogfriends. i'll add you to mine too!
Thanks, thanks, and thanks!
