A Show of Hands is finally having its opening! Care to join the party? There'll be plenty of interesting art to look at. You'll get to rub shoulders with all the printmakers (including yours truly) who'll be busting their buttons with delight. If that's not enticing enough, just think of the cookies and punch. Oh, do please come!
P.S. The show closes on my birthday. In case you wanted to know. Heh.

Cool!! I am so excited. Maybe we'll get out for a date!!
And a free date too! If you don't count the price of gas, that is.
I want to come, too! I will need you to e-mail me the details (when you have a minute), however. I canna read that tiny print. (The eyes were the first to go!)
Congrats. What will tryst be entering?
Well, that's a lovely excuse for a Utah trip! Now, if I can just get some time off work...
I'll just pop on over! Congrats on the show and have fun!
c-dub: If you click on the second image, a larger version will pop up and it should be more legible. Just in case though, here are the details—

becca: Mebbe I already told you about this? It's the collaborative I took part in last year, the one for which I was simultaneously (a) hired to print letterpress text pages and cover, and (b) invited to contribute artwork. I didn't bind it; another of the contributors was hired to do that bit. The prints were framed and exhibited with the finished book in the HBLL before the holidays last year, and now they are travelling to a "real" gallery in SLC. Have you ever been to Finch Lane? It's a happy spot.
darling billy: O, woodeneye woodeneye LOVE it if you coul make it! What a treat! All the way from SF for punch and cookies!
stacie: Hey, it could happen. You could stand in front of Wal-Mart with a cardboard sign that says "Will knit for frequent flyer miles." Come on over!
Oops! I'm sorry. The first time I tried that I was having a computer malfunction. Got it now and thanks for the invite. I will love to come--you do such beautiful work!
How cool! I want to see it too.
I really hope Liz and I can make it! It sounds great and it would be a great excuse to see you and Rob. Hope all is well!
Y'all come now, y'hear!
Hey, Scott, isn't this the first time you've graced my blog with your presence? (or maybe just your comments?) WOW! Thanks!
Georgia---
I miss your posting. Will you come out to play again?!
Geo, your lovely snail mail brought me SUCH joyon a very grey day. I sent you some from teh road and I hope you know how sad I am that, because of the change in plans (funeral), I will have to miss out on surprising you at your gallery opening. Shucks. Maybe I will have enough cash to come to your closing for YOUR BIRTHDAY. I do so miss you and Baby James tells me everyday when I wrap him in his magical star blanky that he wants to visit you, too. Post again soon. I miss you. Did you find a headshot? I need one, too. Shucks, I hate looking at myself. Maybe I'll dig up an old one. Heh...
The last time I went to an art thingie we were promised to see the artist's bum opening. He was digging a hole naked on black and white video in the corner. None of the free drinks I promised my numerous friends who turned up materialized. Aparently the video was supposedly representing his self burial. That's why he had to film himself naked toiling with garden spade. He was digging his own narrative grave, so the BS leaflets told us... well that's enough about art. If you're into seriously great art of the literary kind you must of course visit my blog. It's at gledwood2.blogspot.com and you're most welcome to drop by. Do tell what you think of it now. And be warned it is a diary blog and quite different from most other people's. All the best now ...

liz: Your wish is my command.
james: Yeah, I got my headshot. Thanks for that nice bit of love! There isn't any party happening for the closing, so don't break your piggy bank. I won't even think about the gallery on that day. It's Friday the 13th! I'll have luck on my mind! Give the star boy a squeezer for me.
gledwood: Hello! How did you happen to find yourself here at my blog? There's nothing quite so quasi-avant garde going on here as naked grave-digging, and no ass-inine promises, just generally friendly folk. You are most welcome. I'll be sure to pay your blog a visit.
