February 10 (twink, twank, twunk)

Recently, when I was on the verge of a major meltdown, Rob stole me away for an Indian buffet lunch and a drive up the canyon. We made it to Heber before we turned for home. The most amazing sight we saw on our trip was this sign. Tonight, on purpose, we journeyed all the way back to Heber, just to try the fried twinkies. I know. I know.

We made quick work of them.

And then, they worked on us.

Love the sign. I have to know: how were they? I think that is fabulous that you guys drove all the way back up there just for some twinkies. And, I'm really glad that Rob stole you away at just the right time. I hope it was great therapy.

I think bek used to work at the Dairy Keen.

What a fun adventure for you.

That picture is such a classic illustration of what must be the aftermath of fried twinkies!

I'm so glad you got out, however. Good for you!

liz: Rob made me swear not to tell. Don't want to sway you, y'know. I will just say it's worth the drive to Heber to have the experience. At the end of February fried twinkies will be a thing of the past, no longer on the menu, so if you want one you'd better hurry! (After you try one, or after February, then I can give you my actual critique.)

~j.: So what you're saying is maybe bek's been initiated into the secret society of fried twinkie eaters?

james: We talked about oreos on the way home. I think it's a toss-up which would stay in your guts longer, burning holes: oreo stuff or twinkie stuff. This topic is beginning to make me feel queasy.

c-dub: Truth in advertising.

liz: Thanks! It's nearly a month old now, but new enough. I refer you to January 25 for an action shot of my 'do.
