We're packing up. Don't know where we're going—Oregon?—nor how long we'll be gone—till the money runs out?—but go we must and go we will. We're gettin' outta town. This has been a couple weeks we'll never forget. My physical pain has finally let up after nine days way beyond my threshold. Emotional pain comes down on us like crashing waves. And so we're aiming for the ocean. The Pacific. We hope it lives up to its name. I'll send out with the tide the names of you who've loved us with a flower, a meal, a visit, a gift, a note, a call, an email, a comment, an embrace. Then I'll wait for the sea's rolling voice to return and spill over me the names of friends who've quietly prayed for us, and cried with us.
Talk to you in October.
~Much love from Geo

You're going home (to my home) and I can't express what I know about the power of the crashing Pacific surf.
More hugs and prayers will follow you on your journey.
Love, love LOVE you.
Oh, I wish you a wonderful journey. Can't wait to hug you when you get back. Any chance Logan will hit your map between here and there?
Good for you Geo,
may the pacific bring you peace, it always has for me...
I am also a fellow Oregonian.. and I love the ocean. I hope you have a peaceful trip. I am glad that the pain has gone/
Sometimes the ocean can heal like nothing else can.
I pray for peace, joy and love for you and Rob.
Bring me something.
(It doesn't have to be a very big something. A rock will do. I'd take a rock. Well, I'd like a rock if it's a pretty rock. Or a car. I'd take a car -- if it's a pretty car. Fine, bring me an ugly car. Whatever.)
enjoy lots of deep breaths of fresh air
Good for you.
Fare well.
(Not farewell.)
Go, my child, go.
and don't come back until you want to . . .
P. S. Something a friend of mine wrote that I want to share with you:
. . .this pregnancy was a miracle, an answer to prayer.
Love you dearly.
Geo, you are so beautiful in your writing. Wish I could know you in real life. I've thought of you and said little heart prayers for you so many times over the past few weeks. Intellectually, it seems sort of strange to care so much for someone you only know via a blog, but my heart just can't help but feel for your loss and hope for everything good for you.
I have a super duper soft spot for Oregon (it's home,) I hope it fills your soul with all the things you're seeking.
I hope Oregon (or wherever you end up going) helps to heal your heart. I hope our prayers for you soothe your spirit. I hope the ocean's rhythms ease you back to a happier place.
There's a really cool place in Takilma Oregon called the Out'n'About Treesort where you can stay in treehouses. It's a beautiful area, secluded, peaceful...the people who run it are beautifully kind and friendly. If you get time, you might check it out. If not, store that chunk of knowledge back in your brain for a future date.
Good. I'm glad you are getting away for a while. I hope it is everything that you need and more! Enjoy yourself!
wishing you a peaceful journey.
Still praying for you.
Wishing you peace.
i am mourning with you. i hope you find healing on the west coast.
Gee Bee, are you home yet? I am excited to photos from your journey. We are going to the coast (Tillamook maybe? Maybe Astoria?) because my mom and Mark are moving to Vancouver, WA in a few weeks. I am so excited--no more Missouri! I have only been to the North Coast once, but it was sooo lovely, I can't wait to take the kids over Thanksgiving weekend. We were on your turf last week and I thought of you lots. I hope the sea helped the healing. Love you...
Ladies, if any of you check here to see if I've commented I have this to say to you:
You are the salt of the earth.
Thanks.
