Lortab makes me "go so slow", too--I took two after I had Addie and then never took them again because I kept waking up in pools of drool to a hungry baby. I am RATHER sensitive to meds, especially pain meds. Good luck with that, love.
At the doctor's office I work at we don't refer to Friday by name. It's new name is "Lortab refill day". There sure are a lot of people who like their Lortab.
Hope you are feeling better (and by feeling I mean physically, mentally you can be a mess if you want).
My most recent Lortab experience was combined with an attempt at (prescribed) medical miscarriage this summer, much for the same reasons you described. I could finally sleep with Lortab. Worthy of an ode indeed. You've been in my thoughts, my friend.
What you may not realize is that you posted this song on the official "Talk Like a Pirate" day. I can imagine you were celebrating this holiday with LOTS of swarthy phrases.

Damn! I was skeptical at first but his voice is like honey to my bee! Yummy! Damn.
Not sure what it has to do with Lortab, but damn.

I had an allergic reaction to it. My throat closed and had to be rushed to the hospital.
I've been thinking of you.
I wish I knew how to play the guitar, I've always wanted to end up on You Tube. DAAAAMMMNNN
I love that you put in your labels for this post "my lips hurt real bad" and "the D word." :)
I also love the fist at the beginning and end of the song. Choice.
Damn! Lortab's not my friend.
The lortab didn't dull your sense of humor. I am just glad to see you're alive and kicking.

The first time I took Lortab it made me throw up--one of only two times in my adults life (I've been conditioned by childhood not to).
Mercifully when I had my ACL surgery they gave me an anti-nausea drug too so I could take Lortab to my heart's content.
And if you're not throwing it back up, it really works.
And then you don't remember anything until months later when somehow it slips back into your head like a bad dream.
More love and hugs...

Hey, James Taylor does a sweet version of that song too!
hugs and kisses your way. . ."You've got a friend", TONS of friends.
I've never taken Lortab. I will count myself lucky.
Did that guy remind anyone else of a pirate? He just needs some eyeliner . . . ;)
