Shameless self-promotion

Earlier this year, I was involved in "A Show of Hands," a Utah women's invitational art collaborative, sponsored by WINK. No small number of artists, of which I was one, submitted all sorts of styles of delicious printmaking. Some of the pieces were accompanied by letterpress text, provided by yours truly, and all were letterpressed some more and wonderfully hand-bound together into 25-30 fabulosos libros. Now the prints and book are all on exhibition at the BYU Harold B. Lee Library auditorium gallery through December 14th. Please go and see the show! The official opening reception will happen next March, at the Finch Lane Gallery in Salt Lake City. Stay tuned for that.

Gosh, it's just so essiting!

I just can't hold it in any longer. I have a new found co-worker and friend here in the big blue building that I made a startling connection with a couple of weeks ago. One afternoon while chatting, we realized that we both know and love YOU!
I will withhold last names so as to remain confidential, but her name is Jen and she worked with you on her portion of this project. She's a lovely girl with some lovely friends - and I'll be going to see the lovely exhibit as soon as I possibly can!

That's fun! I think Jen is supa-shuga too. Tell her hey from me, will ya? Aren't you two lucky to get to work together! Great minds should get the chance to think alike in neighboring cubeys.

Auntie Gee, the snail mail version of this is coming, but James wanted you to know that he received the GORGOEOUS deep-green-and-blue SUPERSTAR snuggly and has been enjoying its warmth for the past 24 hours since it arrived! (good timing, since the temps dropped from 68 degrees on Sunday to 26 on Monday...how's that for FALL??)---I am excited to hear about this bit you are promoting here--I love seeing any of your exquisite work, and I am even happier to OWN some (and be wrapping my baby in your handiwork). Thanks!! We love and miss you!

James et James: Wouldja like to sleep in a star? Carry moonbeams home in a jar? And be better off than you are? Or would you rather be a . . . fig???
