Yay, you're back! I love your illustrated version of The Fours and I thank you for reminding me on this tired , burpy, feeling-yucky-even-though-it's-totally-spring day to be thankful for why I am tired and burpy and yucky. I love you so much! Hope it's turning spring there for you and hope you get this long-distance hug....there--feel it?
Yes, James, luv, I feel it. Thanks. And Happy March Forth! : )
xoxoxo
PS: You can see the Northern Lights at my house and be hot and cold at the same time (at nearby Chico Hot Springs), and we have free room and board and are much closer than iceland...I'd do my Bjork impression (although I'll never be as cute)...just an idea...PPS my nephew Liam's favorite song at Thanksgiving time was "Regina" by the sugarcubes...he just kept singing it and saying all the silly spoken parts...from a 20-year-old song!
J-me, trust me, I am hot and cold ALL the time! As for your acting as a stand-in for Bjork, I think you're much too good a Jamie to waste a moment on impersonations, but thanks for the offer. Northern lights and lunch with you also sound mighty appealing. Maybe I should invite Bjork along? You know I've had an Icelandic BOM for her for years, right?
P.S. I still want to go to Iceland.
OK, I'll bite. Oh, and I have flown ove Iceland and it looked increidble from the air. One day I too hope to see it from less lofty heights.
I've been meaning to add "4 favorite books" (or books to read over & over again) plus 4 I want to read plus 4 questions. I love your arrangements of the questions and the pictured answers. As they say in HI, "you da bomb"; said another way, I adore you.
what a fun list, geo! and i love your new mugshot. very beautiful! what do you think about bjork's outfit at the academy awards several years back? and did you see "dancer in the dark"? that was a really weird movie. just curious.
rachel
Joe and I decided that Dancer In the Dark is possibly the most depressing movie ever.
I'm so glad you like The Kids In The Hall. Sometimes I think I'm the only one who still remembers and quotes that show.
12 Helens agree...
Scott: Because you are my friend and my Scandinavian connection and because you have at least flown over Iceland, I dedicate one of my favorite Bjork songs to you on a dismal grey day.
One day
It will happen
One day, one day
It will all come true
One day
When you're ready
One day, one day
When you're up to it
The atmosphere
Will get lighter
And two suns ready
To shine just for you
I can feel it
One day
It will happen
One day, one day
It will all make sense
One day, one day
You will blossom
One day, one day
When you're ready
An aeroplane
Will curve gracefully
Around the volcano
With the eruption that never lets you down
I can feel it
And the beautifullest
Fireworks will burn
In the sky just for you
I can feel it
One day
One day
Becca: I'm working on the addendum.
P.S. "I've got a crush on you, sweetie pie . . . ."
Rachel: Gosh, thanks! I like that photo of us too. We look happy (and we are).
Bjork's goose dress? Well, I wouldn't wear it to prom, but I have to admit it was a hoot . . . rather, a honk. I never saw "Dancer in the Dark". I don't do restricted movies, but that one was tough to say no to, just because I really do love Bjork.
Carina: I still lapse into Flying Pig quotes sometimes. "Hey-hey-hey! Hee-hee-hee!"
Janet: Yeah, well, even if you don't "do" images, you do post to your blog on a wonderfully regular basis. Me, I'm spastic. It's that manic-depressive pattern all over again! I assembled these pictures on a difficult day when I needed to distract myself in order to stay out of a funk. It helped.
