O abundant universe

I really really really really really want this hat.

That's some hat. Hope you get it. (And if you do, please post a picture!)

Oh, don't I wish!

Yes. I want a picturen of you in it. Hey--that means we would both be asking the abundant universe for the same thing! Maybe we could get some blogsmic synergy going here and you will get your hat and the rest of us will get to see a picture of you in it!

Okay, c-dub. That works for me. Here's the plan: everyone who visits this post, please ASK THE UNIVERSE for (a) this hat for me, or (b) a photo of me in aforementioned gloriously funky hat, which is essentially the same as (a), and maybe it'll happen.

(Lois, you are exempt from the asking gimmick because I respect your anti-consumerism mantra. But if you FEEL like asking, just this once, don't hesitate.)

C'mon universe. I know I just got to visit the beach and this morning my dog was returned to me in one piece, but . . . just this one thing more, and I promise I won't ask for anything again . . . for at least an hour. Okay?

By the way, (b) cannot involve Photoshop tricks. No, no, it must be a live shot. The hat on my actual head.

Get busy now, Asking Team.

This could require the help of Zina Nibley Petersen. She is, by far, the best Universe Petitioner I have ever met. I will send her an email.

ps. I am so glad you are back ... and your little dog too. (I have always wanted to use that line.)

andi—Great news! Zina can be Team Captain, if she likes. But tell her to hurry with the petitioning, because I think this hat is a one-off.

P.S. Sure, you can talk the talk, but I think you're really a Glinda. Glinda's got cha-ras-ma. And great makeup. Me? I'll just take the stripey stockings. They'll look great with my new HAT (Zina?).

Nice! I think that would be very nice, toasty and attractive on you!

What fine taste you have, my friend.

Think I'd look too much like Princess Leia?

(Think I care?)

: )

Yes, I liked the cinnabon ones very much and couldn't help but remember our dear Princess of the Stars.

Geo said...

Hey, check out these Cinnabons.

(That didn't sound nice, did it?)

P.S. I DON'T want the Leia hat. Please, nobody ask the Universe for that one.

Oh, Geo - you don't know how right you are with the Glinda angle. You have given me fodder for my next post. Check in tomorrow for details.

I am pretty good at hat making, but I don't know if I can sculpt that. I will try to fashion something. Will let you know.

Are you KIDDING me?

???

Wow!

I stayed up last night trying to study the photos and figure out what she did. I can crochet, but I've never attempted anything like that. Just a lame-o afghan or two when I was lots younger. I'm more of a knitter.

I'm not married to that color, if you get something figured out. I'm just sayin'.

Wow!!

Is it here yet?

I'm not sure what to say about that hat.
Santa hats are nice and happy.

Geo said...

c-dub: If it was, you'd be seeing me under it. I think we need a few more askers on the team. Or maybe Zina's falling down on her job.

carrot: Well, that's a pretty fetching hat in your avatar.

Santa and I have been on the skids for years. I think I'll have more luck with the Universe if I don't cross-ask.

What a hat! Here's hoping you get it!

Seriously, I have pictures of my grandma from the 1920s and her HAIR actually looked like that!

Geo said...

lois: Different color though, right?

Lois said...

I don't know because the photo is black and white. It was taken in 1918 and it is unbelievable. I'll have to bring it by one of these days.

lois: I'd like to see it!
