If I ever meet up again with the man we bought this house from, I will be sorely tempted to give him a good swift kick for all the substandard "home improvements" he made in preparation for a quick sale. If we'd known then what we know now, we might never have moved here. But then maybe it's a good thing we were ignorant, because this really has been the right place for us in many important ways aside from household comfort. Who knows how much longer it will be the right place though.
