"Raging infection"

Yesterday we thought The Ancestor was having a stroke. I took her to the ER where we spent six thrilling hours and then she was admitted to the horse-spittle. I spent the night there with her last night and have stayed by her most of today—am home for a quick shower and change of clothes and then back I go for Night in Reclining Naugahyde #2. Maybe she can come home tomorrow. It wasn't a stroke she had, though the scary symptoms were right for one. Nope, she is very sick with a raging infection in her bladder, one that started spreading to her bloodstream. Good thing she's getting some doctorly attention. Ah, strange are the thoughts knocking around in my mind. More on these subjects later, when we're all home again, home again, jiggety-jig.

glad it wasn't a stroke.

I think I heard once spending time in ER next to someone else pretty much secures your spot in the Celestial Kingdom.

Speedy recovery to the ancestor. Peace and rest to you.

(Do you need someone to come spell you for an hour or so today? Would the ancestor allow a stange stranger to sit with her for a spell?

I'm so sorry ancestor is sick. While I was working yesterday, I was thinking about you. Could it be because you were right downstairs? I hope for a quick recovery for you both.

Georgia, lately when I go to say or type your name, I keep saying "Zsa-Zsa" in my head...weird. Anyway, sorry we missed you the other day on our brief citrus delivery route. OUr Provo time was cut short by a cell phone call from Jill to pick her up at the ER at Alta View. Nothing serious, just her regular issues and regular doctor out of office...anyway, that cut our visit short and James was especially sad because he didn't get to thank your for his star-snuggly in person yet. Luckily (or unluckily), we'll be back because Aunt Jill is going to month-long drug rehab and we are taking a turn caring for her kids and helping Audrey while Willy is on a business trip (baby Maeby--isn't that fun to say?--has been a very challenging new born and Auntie A needs our love nad support, too). Perhaps you and any other clan members who'd like to come could come to Herriman and meet James while we are there 1/14-1/20. I would love to see you. I love and miss you and hope things are better with the ancestor. We have a lot of catching up to do.

So sorry. That naugahyde is murder to sleep on. Read trashy novels that make the nurses blush.

Hope all is well soon.

Everyone: This is late, but thanks for the love and good wishes. The Ancestor is recuperating.

Jamie: Sure missed seeing you. Thanks for the citrus! What are you talking about with Jill?! (Email me?)

Stacie: You better believe I got some knitting done in the hospital.
